July 2020 update

The pre-examination phase for Sizewell C’s Development Consent Order (DCO) application has now begun and will run until the 30th September.This is the period for stakeholders to register their interest and make representations on the DCO application.

A newsletter has been produced, containing key information about the Sizewell C project and highlighting pledges they are making to the local community. It has been delivered to homes and businesses in East Suffolk this week:

There are alternative versions available including large print, easy read and audio.

Sizewell are also providing a DCO Mobile Library bus service which will be visiting a number of towns and villages in East Suffolk between 13 July – 11 August.Starting in Leiston, we will be then visiting Theberton, Middleton, Yoxford, Kelsale-cum-Carlton, Darsham, Wickham Market, Hacheston, Levington, Stratford St Andrew, Woodbridge and Ipswich before finishing in Lowestoft.

The last is a digital interactive Environment Statement: – this is a useful tool to help familiarise yourself with development sites geographically, the environmental sensitivities and proposals for managing them.

July 2019 update

The latest consultation for the Stage 4 Public Consultation, will take place at Stratford St  Andrew Riverside Centre on Saturday 27 July 10am – 4pm. Please click on the days and times when you can attend the exhibitions at various venues, or for the Stratford St Andrew exhibition click on this link. November 2018 Update

EDF Energy mailed out the newsletter below to over 30,000 homes and businesses in East Suffolk so local communities are fully aware that Stage 3 Public Consultation for the Sizewell C Project will start on Friday 4 January 2019.

Stage 1 consultation ran from November 2012 to February 2013. Stage 2 took place from November 2016 to February 2017. The proposals that will be presented to residents from 4 January until 29 March have been informed by feedback received at the previous two stages and technical and environmental assessments.

The public consultation will run for 12 weeks and once again, Planning Aid England will be available to provide independent support and advice to Town and Parish Councils in East Suffolk. We will email you further details about the service.

After the public exhibitions are complete the Sizewell C Project Team will be available to deliver presentations on the proposals to Parish Councils on request.
