Integrated Power Services (IPS), a prominent North American company specializing in the maintenance, engineering, and remanufacturing of electrical and mechanical systems, has finalized the acquisition of ABB Industrial Services’ assets as of August 31, 2024. This strategic move extends IPS’s reach across several regions, including Arizona, Indiana, North Carolina, Alberta, and Ontario. These service centers have capabilities in repairing electric motors up to 50,000 HP and handling low to medium voltage switchgear from 480 V to 15 kV. The acquisition will enable IPS to bolster its offerings in renewable energy, copper mining, and industrial energy management services. Additionally, 115 talented employees, along with technology and expertise from General Electric and ABB, will join IPS. The acquisition follows IPS’s previous purchase of ABB’s hydrogen generator and transformer repair business in June 2022. IPS remains committed to becoming a trusted advisor for critical infrastructure, aiming to revolutionize reliability through expansive service offerings. IPS now operates across 88 sites globally, including the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, and the Caribbean.
