In a strategic move to bolster its presence in the IoT landscape, Trasna Holdings has acquired Dubai-based Workz, a leading provider of cloud-based eSIM solutions. This acquisition positions Trasna as a major player in the evolving mobile IoT market, particularly in the domains of SIM, eSIM, and SoC. Trasna’s expertise in semiconductor design and IoT communications will now benefit from Workz’s pioneering work in eSIM technology, having launched the first certified cloud-based eSIM management service in 2021. The newly combined company aims to capitalize on rising demands from telcos, device manufacturers, and IoT providers, driven by the advancements in 5G and IoT technologies. Trasna CEO Stephane Fund emphasized that the acquisition would create a full end-to-end supply chain, enhancing their market leadership and benefiting their global customer base.
