The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) has signed a $25 million agreement to co-finance the development of renewable energy infrastructure in the Solomon Islands. This project marks the SFD’s inaugural venture in the Solomon Islands and aims to reduce reliance on fossil fuels while promoting sustainable growth in the region. The deal was formalized alongside the Asian Development Bank (ADB) during the SFD’s 50th anniversary celebrations in Riyadh. Notably, the SFD has previously allocated over $20 billion to fund more than 800 development projects globally.
