Brookfield Asset Management is reportedly engaged in discussions with various sovereign funds, including Abu Dhabi’s ADQ and Singapore’s GIC, to co-acquire the Spanish blood-plasma company Grifols SA. According to Bloomberg, no definitive agreements have been reached yet. This follows recent reports that Brookfield is also in talks with banks to potentially take Grifols private. The Grifols family, holding about a 30% stake, had acknowledged a preliminary proposal for a joint takeover bid aimed at de-listing the company. The bid could grant Grifols an equity valuation of approximately $8.9 billion.
