The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE) has appointed Noha Khalil as the acting CEO following the resignation of Ayman Soliman in June. Khalil, who previously served as the Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer, will oversee the $12 billion fund as the board continues to look for a permanent CEO. Soliman’s resignation was attributed to the slow progress in the privatisation programme initiated five years ago. Additionally, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has relaxed several conditions of its $8 billion support package to Egypt, granting the government more time to implement economic reforms.
