Kenya-based Sukhiba has secured $1.55 million in a seed extension round from investors including EQ2 Ventures, Accion Venture Lab, and Quona Capital. The company has developed an innovative CRM system tailored to the needs of small and medium enterprises in Africa. By integrating WhatsApp with payment providers and inventory management software, Sukhiba’s platform facilitates the completion of business transactions. This is particularly valuable in Africa, where many deals are conducted through WhatsApp. Sukhiba’s CRM system provides functionalities such as inventory ordering, payments, trade credit, delivery, and customer interactions, all designed to help small businesses operate more efficiently. Accion Venture Lab’s Amee Parbhoo notes that most CRM systems are created for larger firms or small businesses in wealthier markets, making Sukhiba’s CRM a significant tool for the region.
