Campbell succeeds Herman Viljoen, who is now GM of strategic projects. Bringing significant experience in the renewable energy sector, Campbell will lead the alternative energy team to conceptualize and deliver energy projects compliant with regulatory landscapes in South Africa and across Africa. With a background in corporate law and expertise in renewable energy projects, Campbell aims to leverage her knowledge to advance battery energy storage systems (BESS) and engineering, procurement, and construction services. NEC XON, headquartered in Johannesburg, is a combination of systems integrator XON and NEC Africa, operating in 54 African countries. The company has accumulated vast experience in BESS, with an installed base exceeding 1GW.
