Tilt, a UK-based fashion ecommerce platform, founded by former Revolut employees, has successfully secured £13.7 million in a Series A funding round. The shopping app, launched in 2021, integrates community engagement features and mimics the content style of social media platforms like TikTok, allowing sellers to act as content creators and engage with users through livestreams. Neil Shah, Tilt’s co-founder and former global head of expansion at Revolut, emphasized that Tilt aims to revolutionize the online shopping experience by making it more personal and community-driven. The latest funding round was led by Balderton Capital and included contributions from TQ Ventures, Earlybird, and Seedcamp. Balderton Capital’s partner, Daniel Waterhouse, noted that Tilt’s ability to add over half a million users in its first year showcases its potential and innovation in the live shopping sector.
