Language I/O, a company specializing in AI-driven multilingual customer support technology, has raised $5 million in a funding round led by Gutbrain Ventures. The round saw participation from several new venture firms inspired by Language I/O’s groundbreaking platform. The funds will support the company’s ongoing research and development efforts, primarily focusing on improving its machine learning and generative AI capabilities. Key participants included the State of Wyoming’s Venture Capital fund, which had made its first investment in Language I/O last year, as well as Joint Effects, PBJ Capital, Omega Venture Partners, and the Raptor Group. According to Bob Davoli, General Partner at Gutbrain Ventures, the decision to lead the round was aimed at minimizing distractions and allowing Language I/O to focus on scaling their AI roadmap. The company’s CEO, Heather Morgan Shoemaker, expressed delight over the rapid growth driven by heightened demand for AI in automating multilingual customer support, making Language I/O a preferred vendor for some of the world’s most recognizable brands.
