PureCyber, a Cardiff-based cybersecurity consultancy founded in 2016 by CEO Damon Rands, has secured a £5 million investment from BGF. PureCyber offers a wide range of cybersecurity services, including brand protection, incident response, global penetration testing, and managed SOC services. The firm has seen substantial growth owing to its affordable service model, attracting clients across various sectors such as professional and financial services, manufacturing, education, and sports, including notable global institutions like Premier League football clubs. With this investment, PureCyber aims to further expand its client base within the SME market and among larger enterprises on a global scale. Additionally, the company has appointed Ben Marnham as non-executive chair to leverage his extensive experience in scaling tech businesses. The BGF investment was managed by investors Hannah King and Edwin Davies from BGF’s Wales and South West team.
