BGF has announced a significant multi-million-pound investment in Glacier Energy, taking a minority stake in the Aberdeen-based energy services company. This move, alongside the support of Averroes Capital, aims to bolster Glacier Energy’s growth trajectory in the renewables sector. The investment is set to expand manufacturing capacity, establish a technician training academy, and facilitate strategic acquisitions. Founded in 2011 and led by CEO Scott Martin, Glacier Energy has completed 11 acquisitions and employs over 240 people. New board appointments of Nick Horler as Non-Executive Chair and Mark Ritchie as Group CFO are expected to further propel the company’s ambitions.
