High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), a prominent seed investor in Europe, has named Yann Fiebig as a new partner effective from July 1, 2024. Specializing in Deep Tech and Climate Tech, Fiebig has been with HTGF since 2016, leading substantial investments in areas like New Space and Quantum Technologies. Fiebig’s appointment is seen as a boost to HTGF’s strategic vision, given his successful track record, evidenced by significant exits to major corporations such as E.ON, Porsche, and a US OEM. Holding degrees in electrical and industrial engineering, and trained in venture capital, Fiebig brings a broad skill set and extensive experience to his new role. HTGF, which manages about 1.4 billion euros in its four seed funds, has backed over 750 startups since 2005. The firm is funded through a public-private partnership involving the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, KfW Capital, and various corporate investors.
