The Supervisory Board of Continental AG has appointed Olaf Schick as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective July 1. Schick will also manage Group Law and Intellectual Property, Group Compliance, Group Internal Audit, Group Quality Management, and Group Risks and Controls. Continental CEO Nikolai Setzer will oversee Group Information Technology and continue to manage other central functions including Group Strategy, Group Communications and Public Affairs, Group Purchasing, Contract Manufacturing, and the Chinese market. Schick will replace Katja Garcia Vila, who will not seek another term and whose contract expires at the end of the year. With Schick’s significant experience in finance, portfolio management, and governance, the company expects to be well-positioned for the future. CEO Setzer and Supervisory Board Chairman Prof. Wolfgang Reitzle praised Schick’s extensive expertise and achievements, while also acknowledging Garcia Vila’s 27 years of service and contributions to Continental.
