Finnish startup Cluby, which has developed a loyalty system for the restaurant industry, has secured €2.9 million in seed funding to spur its growth both domestically and internationally. The funding round was spearheaded by Vendep Capital with participation from Elias Aalto, a founding member of Wolt, and Cluby co-founder Pekka Koskinen. Cluby’s platform provides smaller restaurants with a customer management system, enabling them to efficiently manage loyalty programs and market their services. Despite launching just before the COVID-19 pandemic, Cluby has seen significant growth, now serving nearly 500 restaurant clients in Finland and amassing over 100,000 downloads. The new funding will facilitate expansion into key European markets, including Sweden and Spain. Cluby aims to fill a significant market gap, connecting restaurants and customers while capitalizing on increasing digitalization within the industry.
