WakeCap, an IoT platform specializing in construction project management, has acquired Crews by Core, an AI-driven project delivery platform. This strategic acquisition aims to create the world’s most comprehensive SaaS and IoT solution for managing mega construction projects. WakeCap will establish an R&D headquarters in Silicon Valley to strengthen its global leadership. Combining WakeCap’s IoT capabilities with Crews by Core’s AI solutions, the newly merged entity will offer contractors and project owners a robust toolset for optimizing labor efficiency and enhancing job site safety. This development aims to tackle the inherent inefficiencies and outdated processes within the $12 trillion global construction industry, known for its reliance on offline methodologies. The acquisition will see the integration of Crews by Core’s scheduling, communication, and financial risk assessment tools into WakeCap’s existing portfolio, promising significant cost savings and improved project execution. The combined technological expertise from previous stints at leading companies like Paypal, Waze, and Google Chrome fortifies this merger. Together, their customer base spans major project sites globally, including heavyweights such as Saudi Aramco and Jeddah Central Development Co. The financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
