Renewable Land, a real estate investment firm based in Manhattan Beach, California, has announced the acquisition of a 622-acre property in Humboldt County, Nevada. This land is entirely leased to the Battle Mountain Solar project, which includes a 100-megawatt solar power plant and 25 megawatts of four-hour duration battery storage. This move aligns with Renewable Land’s strategy to invest in properties leased to high-quality renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, and battery storage facilities. The acquisition underscores the burgeoning demand for real estate in the renewable energy sector, driven by the increase in electricity needs from artificial intelligence, data centers, manufacturing plants, and electric vehicles. Founded by Alex Stone, J.C. Frey, and P.J. Fielding, Renewable Land has managed over $15 billion in energy and infrastructure investments and collaborates with renewable energy developers and private landowners across the United States.
