Digital Iron, co-founded by Ciaran Gillen and Salina Brown, has raised $2 million in pre-seed funding led by Seedcamp, with additional investments from Concept Ventures, RTP Global, and FJ Labs. Digital Iron aims to revolutionize order processing in the heavy machinery industry by employing AI models trained on CAD schematics, machine manuals, and telematics data. This platform will enable dealerships to perform intelligent diagnostics and parts sourcing, reducing downtime and increasing revenue. Given the challenges the industry faces due to machinery downtime and the requirements of Right to Repair laws, Digital Iron’s solution is targeted at providing faster responses to breakdowns, ultimately boosting operational efficiency and parts sales. Kate McGinn from Seedcamp’s investment team endorsed the platform’s potential to disrupt an underserved market.
