Subramanian Sarma, previously serving as Whole-time Director & Sr. EVP Energy, has been promoted to the position of Whole-time Director & President, Energy. He will maintain oversight of Hydrocarbon, Power, and Green Manufacturing & Development sectors. His tenure at L&T commenced in August 2015 and under his leadership, the Hydrocarbon Business thrived, posting record financial outcomes and earning a place among the top 3 EPC contractors in the Middle East’s Oil & Gas Sector consecutively for four years. Sarma’s extensive career of over 40 years, predominantly in the Middle East, and prior role as Managing Director of a substantial EPC firm, highlights his expertise across the Oil & Gas value chain. Moreover, L&T elevated R Shankar Raman from his Sr. EVP, Whole-time Director & CFO role to that of President, Whole-time Director & CFO. Since joining L&T in November 1994 and subsequently scaling up as the CFO, Raman has been instrumental in formulating the company’s financial strategy, driving growth initiatives, and supervising financial health. A Chartered Accountant and a Cost Accountant by training, Raman has accrued four decades of experience in finance, notably in corporate finance, M&A, capital management, and risk assessment, thereby solidifying L&T’s market position and financial stability.
