Venture 7 Advisors, a Burlington, Vermont-based M&A advisory firm, announced the sale of The Oxford Company to KnitPro, a global leader in knitting and crochet accessories. Amy Oxford, founder and renowned crafts teacher, patented the health-friendly Oxford Punch Needle, revolutionizing the industry. The deal closed in just four months, led by Venture 7 Partner Scott Hardy, after Amy Oxford was approached by KnitPro’s Sajive Jain. Hardy streamlined processes due to the pre-existing buyer interest. The terms of the sale remain undisclosed. KnitPro pledges to retain Vermont operations, leveraging them for U.S. market expansion, while transferring manufacturing to India. This strategic acquisition underlines KnitPro’s market breadth, aiming to grow the combined entity’s U.S presence. Amy Oxford will remain employed to ensure continuity. Venture 7’s expertise in sectors varied from consumer products to telecom played a significant role in executing this transaction, emphasizing their track record in SME M&A advisory scenarios.
