Innova Capital, a prominent Central European private equity firm, has recently celebrated the successful closure of its seventh fund, Innova/7, with an unprecedented amount of EUR 407 million. This latest fund has not only surpassed its initial target by EUR 57 million but also exceeded the hard cap by EUR 7 million, showcasing the firm’s noteworthy ability to raise capital even in a challenging economic environment. This fundraise was supported by diverse investors from across Europe and North America, with a notable over 25% participation from Polish investors. The fund boasts a strategic prioritization of digital transformation and modern technology across three core sectors: business and financial services, industrials, and consumer & lifestyle, which also encompasses healthcare. Innova’s commitment to sustainability and responsible investing is strongly underlined by their new ESG strategy termed Beyond Profit, which focuses on identifying potential ESG-driven growth avenues and encompassing a thorough risk assessment process. As Innova Capital celebrates its 30th anniversary, the conclusion of Innova/7 injects a significant amount of capital into the firm’s resources, enabling a proactive start to its fourth operation decade. This milestone is marked with new investment perspectives, the integration of a forward-thinking ESG strategy, and fresh growth strategies. Senior Partner Krzysztof Kulig expresses gratitude to investors, institutions, entrepreneurs, and supporting partners, signifying an earnest anticipation of a promising future, with plans to bolster Central European companies’ strategic growth. Innova/7 has already kickstarted its investment cycle with a series of acquisitions across multiple sectors, including payment services, football merchandise distribution, gate and handling systems, wood-based manufacturing, BHS automation solutions, and cloud services to the European space sector. Additionally, Innova has provided its investors with substantial liquidity through fully divested Innova/5 and a major exit from Innova/6. The assets of Innova/6 are now earmarked for further acquisitions within the existing portfolio, highlighting a strategy of add-on investments.
