Global law firm White & Case LLP has successfully guided Alstom in the negotiation and sale of its North American conventional rail signaling business to Knorr-Bremse AG for €630 million. This deal constitutes part of Alstom’s strategic action plan, announced in November 2023, which aims to fortify its leadership in the smart and sustainable mobility sector. Fundamental to the agreement is Alstom’s continued involvement in the North American market, where they will provide advanced transportation solutions including Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) and European Train Control System (ETCS). This transaction underscores the company’s commitment to evolving its core competencies and achieving its strategic objectives.
