Drake & Scull International (PJSC) has revealed that its subsidiary, Passavant Energy and Environment, won a contract to design and build an expanded wastewater treatment facility in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The bid, done in collaboration with a major local contractor, is valued at 215 million US dollars, with Passavant playing a significant role with a 48 million dollar contract. The project highlights Passavant’s expertise in waste to energy innovations and commitment to sustainable infrastructure development, which aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the National Water and Wastewater Company’s goal to improve water and sanitation services. The scope of the project will encompass a modern wastewater treatment plant capable of processing 200,000 cubic meters per day and includes a terminal pumping station, heavy waste treatment tanks, and other related facilities. Implementation of this project not only showcases Passavant’s global footprint but also its dedication to enhancing the region’s environmental stability.
