DZS Inc., a global leader in broadband networking and AI-driven cloud software solutions, announced the appointment of Scott St. John as the Chief Customer Officer. St. John, an industry veteran with over 25 years of experience, will report directly to DZS CEO Charlie Vogt. He is entrusted with spearheading global sales for the company, with a focus on the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Australia/New Zealand (ANZ) regions. His role includes accelerating revenue growth as communication service providers (CSPs) in these regions are amidst a broadband networking upgrade cycle powered by open and software-defined networking advancements. St. John’s appointment coincides with various government-funded broadband initiatives and ample private investments globally. With DZS’s enhanced product portfolio following three strategic acquisitions, St. John is expected to play a pivotal part in driving the next growth wave for DZS through 2024 and into 2025, targeting significant network expansion opportunities. The company has already secured recent wins with tier-one operators and is engaged in numerous service provider projects, with over 25 large scale trials currently underway worldwide. Before joining DZS, St. John greatly contributed to ADVAs sales growth and has a history of leading global sales teams to drive revenue. Gunter Reiss will continue to lead DZS’s marketing and business development efforts as the Chief Marketing Officer. DZS’s emphasis on market disruption and focus on best-in-class optical, access, and cloud software technology under Charlie Vogt’s leadership positions the company to capture a more significant market share and grow its revenue.
